- If you wanted to explain something about your family, what traditions (or how you do things) come to mind that you would want to pass on?

- Opening Thoughts:
- This week’s topic is legacy. It’s so easy to be focused on the present. As we dig into the Scriptures tonight, let’s think about being a change maker with eternity in mind. Think about how you want to be known. Let’s begin with a Scripture passage that we read earlier in the series. It reminded us of the Father’s love for us. It’s what Jesus was asking the Father just hours before going to the cross. It’s his prayer for those who would believe in his message. It’s what he wanted his disciples to pass on to others. Let’s look at a portion of Jesus’ prayer in John 17.
- Bible Reading: John 17.20-26
- Reflection:
- Why will people believe in Jesus’ message (vv. 22-23)? Why do you think that is important? How does that look today?
- What happens when we don’t embody God’s character as we seek to serve him?
- Pray that people would see God’s glory through you. Ask God to use you to unify others around his purposes.
- Open Prayer
