This Workplace by Facebook video is worth a look for an overview of Workplace. It includes some use cases that you may find helpful when first using Workplace by Facebook.
A specific clip that I strongly recommend you watch is to do with document posts (starts 26:10). These are an option when you create a post in any group and allows you to format the post like a Word doc & embed pics etc. I stumbled over these in consumer Facebook a few months ago. I also used it for the Community Directory post in the WOL Circle community I am currently community managing.
