I did this exercise in my 1st circle in Q1 2017 ( * don’t tell John, I only got to 35! * ) and I am here again in Week 5 in my 2nd circle.
This time I decided to do the full 50 using the 35 as a starter set to build on but I raised the bar higher by setting myself the task to give each fact:-
- a short title
- a short para
- and a video from the web to add background to the fact about me.
and on to my list … sequence is not order of importance etc …
- Disciple of Jesus
Always brought up going to church. Made my own personal decision to follow Jesus in my first year at university in 1980.

- Occasional stammerer/stutterer
This was much worse when I was at school and university. I had speech therapy through my secondary school years. It has improved significantly over the years and I am amazed how I am now. I do lapse occasionally when I am especially stressed or tired. The video clip of Mushy brought lots of memories back but I was not as bad as this.

I started being a music fan in the last year of primary school. Those were years of Slade, Sweet, T-Rex etc. I have always studied while playing music. Fan of most genres.

WOW Simon - Being a member of your WOL-Circle-A-2018 group I've read through your list of facts. It's an impressive work you've done creating this list of 50 facts. I must admit that I haven't seen all videos (yet); it's for me an overload on information. I've read all the small introductions or explanations to each of your 50 facts. In this list I've noticed that one of the facts is saying you're a reader and that you need to read more and spend more concentrated time reading. When I saw this (and saw that you're a learner as well) I wondered if you have ever followed a smart reading training. I've done so and I learned reading faster when applying the techniques I've learned in that course. I have followed the training with Peter Plusquin and although I think you're Dutch might be insufficient to follow this training in Belgium I believe he's the right person to get in touch with. I'm sure he will either try to help you by himself or will redirect you to a EN-speaking colleague he can recommend. Doing the training with Peter he's saying that one is able to read one book in 1 hour. Although I don't claim yet I can read a book in 1h it helped me reading 3 times faster than before following this training.
ReplyDeleteAny how, it's up to you to decide if you want to learn this as well. You can always contact Peter (referencing me) at peter@globaledutainment.be
Thank you for sharing this and for giving me the opportunity to get to know you better.
We'll share WOL, PM, Change, Music and wine in common (I do prefer red over white).
Cheers. Marc.
