An exhibition from last year …

Jeremy Deller's latest exhibition offers a fresh look at Britain's cultural heritage via a treasure trove of vintage portraits discovered beneath a former photography studio. Guardian obituary (August 2011)

Last week, my 2nd week in my new job, I was given a work phone after some discussion re whether I could stick with my personal HTC Desire S phone and just use the one phone. Turned out I could get an iPhone 4. Not as excited about that as I would have been in pre HTC user days but good to have as a work phone. When it arrived, turned out to be white!! Could have had it changed to my preferred black but too much faff so I am now a white iPhone 4 user and yet to really get into the features etc. I am sure that will come with time.

Most of them came from other professions and they often learned their new trade using one of McCracken's textbooks. He was a born educator, and his books were peppered with practical examples and exercises that made them good for both private study and university courses.
